Climate Journalist

Responsibilities:

• Research, investigate, and report on climate change, environmental issues, and sustainability initiatives
• Produce high-quality news articles, features, analyses, and opinion pieces
• Monitor global and local climate policies, agreements, and environmental regulations
• Cover topics such as renewable energy, carbon emissions, climate adaptation, and environmental impact
• Conduct interviews with scientists, policymakers, environmental advocates, and industry experts
• Analyze climate data, reports, and scientific findings to produce accurate and insightful content
• Attend climate-related events, conferences, and field assignments when required
• Ensure all reporting adheres to journalistic ethics, accuracy, and balance
• Collaborate with editors and multimedia teams to enhance storytelling

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Environmental Science, Climate Studies, or a related field
• Proven experience as a journalist, reporter, or content writer (experience in climate or environmental reporting is highly preferred)
• Strong understanding of climate science, sustainability, and environmental policy
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Strong research and analytical abilities
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems (CMS)
• Knowledge of SEO and social media content strategies
