Back-end Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services using Java.
• Build RESTful and SOAP APIs for banking applications and integrations.
• Implement business logic for banking workflows such as customer management, accounts, loans, payments, and transactions.
• Develop scalable and reusable backend components.

API Development & Integration:

• Design and implement APIs based on business requirements and technical standards.
• Integrate banking systems, third-party services, and external platforms.
• Handle API validation, error management, and transaction processing.
• Collaborate with API teams to publish and manage APIs.

Database & Data Management:

• Design and optimize database structures and queries.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and performance.
• Manage data operations for banking transactions and workflows.

Security Implementation:

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Work with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and RBAC.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect customer and financial data.

Testing & Support:

• Write unit and integration tests.
• Support QA activities and resolve technical issues.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance.

DevOps & Deployment:

• Work with CI/CD pipelines.
• Support Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on releases and environments.

Requirements:

• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience building enterprise backend applications.
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and web services.
• Database experience (SQL/NoSQL).
• Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and API security.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Banking/financial services experience is an advantage.
• WSO2 experience is an advantage.
