Job summary
As the IT Officer for Hardware and Network Infrastructure, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of security and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain endpoint security and network security solutions to Provide IT help desk support to users both remotely and on-site. ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network-related issues to safeguard organizational IT assets.
- Install, configure, and maintain structured cabling systems, wired and wireless networks, internet connectivity, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure devices.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, system health checks, and performance monitoring of IT infrastructure.
- Install, configure, administer, and provide user support for the organization's email systems.
- Configure, administer, and maintain backup, storage, and archiving solutions for work files, databases, and other critical organizational data.
- Perform regular backup integrity checks and restoration tests to ensure data reliability and recoverability.
- Ensure that system backups are performed daily and archived in accordance with the organization's backup retention policy
- Provide remote technical support to branch offices and outstations.
- Install, upgrade, and replace computer hardware components, including memory (RAM), expansion cards, storage devices, and other peripherals as required.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain on-premises virtual machines and virtualization infrastructure.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts, licensing, security, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT infrastructure, network diagrams, system configurations, and support procedures.
- Monitor infrastructure availability and implement corrective actions to minimize system downtime.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and best practices.
- Perform any other IT-related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Candidate must possess B.Sc./HND in any related course with a minimum of second class lower / lower credit.
- Age must be between 22 and 28 years
- Candidate must possess WAEC Certificate with a minimum of 5 credits (including Mathematics and English)
- Candidate must have completed the NYSC programme
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure technologies and cloud services.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and other networking concepts.
- Experience with endpoint protection and network security solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems.
- Basic working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and storage management solutions.
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and system administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
