Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Managing information technology and computer systems.
- Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations.
- Supervising IT staff: This involves recruiting, training, coaching, communicating job expectations, and appraising performance.
- Designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating systems, policies, and procedures.
- Contributing to organizational policy by aligning with user needs and system functionality.
- Identifying problematic areas and implementing strategic solutions.
- Auditing systems and assessing outcomes.
- Preserving assets and information security.
- Handling the annual budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Requirements and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a similar field.
- Experience 3 - 5 years
- Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant expertise.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
- Expertise in data center management and data governance.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
- Ability to manage personnel.
- Strong work ethic with high degree of proactive-ness and entrepreneurial attitude
- Knowledge of server infrastructure and networking would be an asset
- Possess good forward thinking capabilities to drive out the maturity of Demand Management / Forecasting Model capabilities
- Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Cloud computing skills: Familiarity with cloud applications like Office365, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS
- Network Setup and Configuration
- Design, set up, and configure LANs, WANs, and VPNs
- Network Security Implement and maintain security measures (firewalls, IDS, encryption)
- User Support Provide technical support to end-users, helping with connectivity problems and network-related inquiries and requests.
- Documentation Maintain accurate network documentation, topology, and changes records to ease troubleshooting and future planning
Remuneration: NGN 180,000 - 250,000
