Inventory Officer Intern
Job summary
SZH-GROUP is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Inventory Officer Intern to support warehouse and inventory operations at its farm project site in Kuje.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records for warehouse materials, tools, spare parts, and equipment.
- Support monitoring of stock levels and preparation of periodic inventory reports.
- Ensure issued items are properly documented and signed for by authorized personnel.
- Assist in recording and tracking components shipped to China and items specified by machinery manufacturers.
- Enter and update inventory data in the company’s computer system.
- Participate in regular stock-taking and inventory reconciliation exercises.
- Assist in the proper labelling, storage, and arrangement of warehouse items.
- Report discrepancies, shortages, damaged items, or missing materials to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the warehouse.
- Work closely with warehouse staff, engineers, and site management to support smooth inventory operations.
- Support efforts to prevent misuse, theft, or unauthorized removal of warehouse materials.
- Carry out other inventory and warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a University Degree or HND program in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain processes.
- Basic understanding of inventory systems and warehouse procedures is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn inventory management systems.
- High level of honesty, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work with multicultural and multinational teams.
- Willingness to work in a remote construction or industrial site environment.
