Inventory Officer
Job summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to manage and monitor stock levels within our supermarket. The Inventory Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating stock movements, minimizing losses, and ensuring timely restocking to support sales and operations.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all store departments
- Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly) and reconcile discrepancies
- Record incoming and outgoing stock transactions in the inventory management system
- Coordinate with the receiving staff to verify quantities and quality of delivery
- Investigate and report inventory variances, damaged goods, and potential theft or loss
- Generate inventory reports for management and assist in demand forecasting
- Liaise with suppliers and procurement staff to ensure timely restocking of essential items
- Comply with store policies and safety standards in inventory handling
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience
- Degree in a related field
- Analytic skill
- Attention to details
- Basic mathematical skill
