Job summary
Our client, a luxury bridal and occasionswear brand, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intern Accountant to support its daily financial operations and reporting activities under management supervision. The ideal candidate must be organised, reliable, and able to meet strict daily and weekly deadlines
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recording daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts, invoices, and expenses.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and accounting documents.
- Assist in preparing invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial documentation.
- Perform basic data entry and ensure accounting information is accurate and up to date.
- Support bank reconciliations and the verification of financial transactions.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities, including tracking outstanding payments.
- Help prepare financial reports, expense summaries, and accounting schedules.
- Organise and maintain financial files, records, and supporting documents for easy retrieval.
- Assist with monitoring company expenses and comparing actual spending against budgets.
- Support payroll preparation and the documentation of staff-related expenses where required.
- Assist with tax documentation and other statutory financial records under supervision.
- Help verify invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Progress towards ICAN or ANAN certification is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Accounting software experience is an added advantage.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to meet deadlines and flag issues promptly.
