Interior Decorator

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-installation site visits to assess sub-floor types and wall surface integrity.
• Take accurate site measurements to determine material layout, minimising product waste.
• Level, clean, dry, and prime sub-floors and wall surfaces before installing materials.
• Professionally lay out and install SPC Rigid Core Flooring, Carpet Tiles, and Laminate floors according to design patterns.
• Build out interior and exterior WPC Decking and Interlocking Deck Tiles.
• Install aesthetic vertical solutions including Fluted Wall Cladding, Accent Wall Planks (peel-and-stick/adhesives), mouldings, and skirtings.
• Efficiently cut, trim, and piece together materials around corners, pillars, and built-in fixtures without compromising the finish.
• Guide clients during site surveys on pattern matching, grain orientation, and the best product choices for their lighting and foot traffic.
• Interpret architectural blueprints or client interior sketches into physical surface layout plans.
• Adhere to strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) codes on-site while managing tools responsibly.
• Rectify any installation defects or client call-backs promptly to protect Floorkraft's brand integrity.
• Work collaboratively with on-site contractors (masons, painters, site supervisors) to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an OND in Architecture, Fine Arts, Building Technology, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Certification in finish carpentry, interior tiling, or specialist flooring installation is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in premium interior decoration and flooring installation is required.
• Direct hands-on experience working with modern engineered surfaces such as SPC flooring, WPC decking, and fluted wall cladding panels is an added advantage.
