Role Description This is a contract role for an Insurance Sales Agent based in Port Harcourt/Lagos. The Insurance Sales Agent will identify and engage prospective clients, explain insurance products, and recommend coverage options that match client needs and risk profiles. The role includes preparing and presenting quotes, completing policy applications, and supporting clients through onboarding and renewal processes. The agent will maintain regular contact with clients, handle inquiries and basic claims-related questions, and coordinate with internal teams and brokerage partners to ensure accurate and timely processing. Daily activities also involve meeting sales targets, documenting interactions in CRM or tracking tools, participating in product and compliance training, and representing XCA Insurance Brokers LTD professionally at client meetings and events.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in Insurance Sales and Sales, with the ability to meet or exceed activity and revenue targets.
- Strong foundation in Insurance and Insurance Brokerage, including understanding of policy types, terms, and regulatory considerations.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a client-centric approach and the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both in-person and over the phone.
- Ability to work on-site in Port Harcourt, manage a personal pipeline, and organize daily sales activities independently.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or related advisory roles is highly beneficial.
- Relevant professional certifications or licenses in insurance (or willingness to obtain them) are an advantage.
- Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred.
