Instructor

Responsibilities:

• Teach design courses to students of varying skill levels
• Guiding them from foundational concepts to industry-ready competence
• Delivering engaging, practical instruction in person and/or online, developing and maintaining structured course content aligned with industry standards
• Guiding students through hands-on projects
• Keeping accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Caring for classroom equipment and contributing ideas to help grow the Academy's course offerings and outreach.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification or certification in graphic design, visual arts, fine arts, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in at least one major design software, such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe Animate
  
• Strong foundational knowledge of graphic design principles, including colour theory, typography, composition, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Patience and the ability to explain design concepts clearly to beginners.
  
• Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentorship experience is an added advantage.
  
• Ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of graphic design through relevant projects or a portfolio.
  
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new design techniques.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a supportive learning environment.
  
• Must be willing and able to relocate to Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
  
• Must be available for a full-time, on-site role.
