Job Purpose

We are an indigenous oil and gas service company seeking a dynamic Information Technology Support Specialist / Data Control staff to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of the company’s IT infrastructure, including computers, networks, and related systems. The role supports business operations by providing technical assistance, managing hardware/software, and safeguarding data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Network Management: Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, internet access, and VPNs.
Technical Support: Provide first-line support to staff for hardware, software, and IT-related issues.
Data Security: Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, backups, and antivirus protection.
Software Management: Install and update business applications, ensuring licensing compliance.
Documentation: Maintain IT asset inventory, user accounts, and system logs.
Training & Guidance: Assist employees with IT best practices and basic troubleshooting.
Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external IT service providers when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3–5 years’ experience in IT support or systems administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
Familiarity with IT security protocols and backup systems.
Experience in troubleshooting hardware/software issues in a corporate environment.
Knowledge of oil and gas industry IT requirements is an added advantage.
