Responsibilities:

• Create illustrations that complement and enhance the text
• Revising and refining illustrations based on feedback
• Using digital or traditional media to create illustrations
• Conducting research to accurately depict the subject matter
• Ensuring consistent style and quality throughout a project
• Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Preparing and formatting illustrations for print or digital publication
• Keeping up-to-date with current illustration trends and techniques

Requirements:

• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of illustration styles
• Experience with digital illustration software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
• Previous experience illustrating books.
• Familiarity with the publishing industry
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Basic understanding of typography and layout principles
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of copyright laws related to artwork
• Bachelor's degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Proven experience as an illustrator or similar role
• Proficiency in both traditional and digital illustration techniques
• Strong artistic and design skills
• Attention to detail and a creative mindset
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary revisions
• Understanding of color theory and composition
• Basic knowledge of graphic design principles
