Hygiene Officer

Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Sanitation:

• Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, common areas, and surrounding premises.
• Perform daily cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Ensure workspaces remain clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day.
• Clean windows, furniture, fixtures, and other office facilities as required.

Waste Management & Hygiene Supplies:

• Collect and dispose of waste appropriately in designated disposal areas.
• Monitor and replenish hygiene supplies such as soap, tissue paper, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials.
• Ensure hygiene facilities remain fully stocked and functional at all times.
• Maintain proper storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Facility Support:

• Conduct routine inspections to identify cleanliness or maintenance concerns.
• Report faults such as leaks, damaged fittings, or other facility issues promptly.
• Support basic facility upkeep and assist with assigned errands when required.
• Handle and maintain cleaning equipment responsibly to ensure proper functionality.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free working environment.
• Support the organization's commitment to workplace cleanliness and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual cleaning tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facility support is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Understanding of workplace hygiene and safety practices.
