Human Right Journalist

Responsibilities:

• Research, investigate, and report on human rights, justice, governance, and social issues
• Produce news articles, features, interviews, and investigative reports
• Conduct interviews with activists, legal professionals, policymakers, victims, and stakeholders
• Monitor developments in legal systems, public policy, civil rights, and social justice issues
• Attend court proceedings, press conferences, public hearings, and field assignments when required
• Verify facts and ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance with journalistic ethics
• Collaborate with editors, photographers, and multimedia teams to produce engaging content
• Create digital and multimedia content for websites and social media platforms
• Analyze reports, legal documents, and research findings to produce insightful stories
• Meet editorial deadlines while maintaining professionalism and integrity

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related fields
• Proven experience in journalism, investigative reporting, or media production
• Strong understanding of human rights, governance, and justice-related issues
• Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Strong research and fact-checking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive information responsibly
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools and multimedia storytelling
