Salary: 200,000 naira per month
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Lagos for a Human Resources Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR policy implementation, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with department heads to develop and improve workplace processes, ensuring a productive and positive work environment. This position allows for flexibility, with the option to work remotely part-time, depending on company policies and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Management
- Lead end-to-end hiring for retail, corporate, and creative roles
- Build job descriptions, interview processes, and onboarding systems
- Develop talent pipelines and internship programs
2. Employee Relations & Culture
- Serve as point of contact for staff concerns and conflict resolution
- Drive employee engagement and company culture initiatives
- Support leadership with workforce planning
3. Performance & Policy
- Implement performance management frameworks and appraisals
- Develop HR policies, SOPs, and staff handbook
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws
4. Payroll & Administration
- Oversee staff records, contracts, leave, and payroll coordination
- Manage benefits, attendance, and HR reporting
5. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning programs
- Support leadership coaching and team growth
Qualifications
- Strong skills in employee recruitment, onboarding, and talent management
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws
- Proficiency in HR policy development, regulatory compliance, and employee relations management
- Knowledge and experience in performance management and organizational development
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a hybrid working schedule
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications are an advantage
- Excellent communication and conflict management skills
- Prior experience in the retail or beauty industry is a plus
