As part of its growth strategy, the company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to build and manage a high-performing workforce.
Role Description
The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Harcourt. This position is responsible for overseeing all human resource functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
The successful candidate will develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensure compliance with labour laws and company regulations, coordinate learning and development programmes, and support leadership in building a productive, high-performance culture. The role also includes managing payroll and employee benefits in collaboration with the finance team, maintaining accurate HR records, advising management on people-related matters, resolving workplace conflicts, and driving initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the real estate, construction, property development, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning.
- Experience in performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, and organisational development.
- Sound understanding of Nigerian labour laws, HR policies, compliance requirements, and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience coordinating payroll, employee benefits, leave administration, and attendance management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
