Human Resources Manager
Job summary
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the organization's HR function by developing and implementing people-focused strategies that support business objectives. The successful candidate will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, HR compliance, and organizational development while fostering a positive and high-performing work culture.

- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, and orientation processes.
- Partner with department heads to identify workforce requirements and succession plans.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical roles.
- Foster a positive employee experience and maintain healthy employer-employee relationships.
- Manage disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate performance management processes, including appraisals, goal setting, and development plans.
- Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Identify training needs and develop learning and development initiatives.
- Coordinate leadership development, employee engagement, and capacity-building programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee payroll administration in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Manage employee compensation, benefits, and rewards programs.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend competitive compensation structures.
- Ensure accuracy of employee records related to compensation and benefits.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation.
- Oversee leave management, attendance, and HR information systems.
- Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives.
- Support change management and organizational restructuring projects.
- Develop HR metrics and reports to support management decision-making.
- Recommend initiatives to improve employee productivity and retention.
- Advise management on HR strategies and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with department heads to improve team performance and operational efficiency.
- Prepare monthly HR reports and workforce analytics for executive management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPM, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, HRCI (PHR/SPHR), or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in professional services, financial services, manufacturing, FMCG, hospitality, construction, or real estate is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
