Summary
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Director, Assistant Director, Analyst and Insurance Specialist, the Human Resources Technician coordinates, monitors, facilitates, and maintains documentation for a major HR functional area of responsibility (e.g., teacher certification, applicant tracking and hiring process, insurance) or some assigned portion of that area. Ensures efficient processing and adherence to regulations.

Human Resources Technician 5.9 hours per day / 257 days per year / Salary Grade 10- $23.84 per hour (Support Salary Table 2025 - 2026) [Promotions result in a 5% minimum increase] GENERAL FUNCTION: The primary assignment for this position is as a Fingerprinting Technician. Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Director, Assistant Director, Analyst and Insurance Specialist, the Human Resources Technician coordinates, monitors, facilitates, and maintains documentation for a major HR functional area of responsibility (e.g., teacher certification, applicant tracking and hiring process, insurance) or some assigned portion of that area. Ensures efficient processing and adherence to regulations. Educational Requirements: 1. Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations. Knowledge & Ability: 1. Ability to operate computers. 2. Familiarity with word processing programs and, if necessary for functional responsibility, State Office of Education computer software. 3. Strong English written and verbal communications skills. Ability to communicate detailed procedures and processes (over the telephone and in person). 4. Interpersonal skills for interacting with active and retired employees, principals, State Office staff, job applicants. 5. Ability to research accurately and compile technical information. Job-Related Experience: 1.
