Job summary

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and people-oriented Human Resources Officer to support the company's HR operations and ensure effective employee management. The successful candidate will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and compliance with company policies.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Support the recruitment and selection process from job posting to onboarding.
  • Source, screen, interview, and shortlist qualified candidates.
  • Prepare job descriptions, interview schedules, offer letters, and other recruitment documents.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, confirmation, transfers, and exit processes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave, lateness, and other HR-related activities.
  • Assist in implementing company HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.
  • Respond to employee enquiries and assist in resolving workplace concerns.
  • Support employee performance management and appraisal processes.
  • Assist in identifying employee training and development needs.
  • Prepare regular HR reports on recruitment, staffing, attendance, turnover, and other HR activities.
  • Support payroll administration by providing accurate employee information and attendance records.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of HR records.
  • Assist management in promoting employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to resolve HR and employee-related issues.
  • Perform other HR duties assigned by the HR Manager or management.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven years of relevant HR experience.
  • Good knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and employment practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS or HR management software is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • CIPM certification or membership is an added advantage.
