Human Resource Officer
Job summary
We are seeking a people-oriented Human Resources Officer to support the company's human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, policy implementation, and HR administration.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and onboarding
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date
- Assist in the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support employee relations by addressing workplace concerns and fostering a positive work environment
- Coordinate staff orientation, training, and development programs
- Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and performance evaluation processes
- Assist with payroll preparation and benefits administration, where applicable
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare HR reports, employment contracts, and other personnel documentation
- Support disciplinary processes and grievance handling in line with company policies
- Assist in organizing employee engagement, wellness, and team-building activities
- Participate in workforce planning and talent management initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Proven years of experience in Human Resources or administrative roles
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and employee relations practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with HR software or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is an advantage
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
