Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment and selection processes (job postings, interviews, hiring)
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation of new employees
  • Handle employee relations, conflicts, and disciplinary actions
  • Administer compensation, salaries, and benefits
  • Coordinate training and development programs
  • Monitor employee performance and support appraisals
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Support management with HR strategies and workforce planning


 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR or administrative roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with HR software/HRIS systems
  • Basic data management and reporting skills
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Adaptability and discretion


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI)
  • Experience with payroll systems
  • Knowledge of local labor laws (especially important in Nigeria)
