Human Resource Manager
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to oversee the company’s HR operations and support the growth of our energy business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building effective people processes, ensuring compliance, managing employee relations, and helping the company attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and processes.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation.
- Oversee payroll preparation, attendance, leave, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate performance management, appraisals, and employee development.
- Support workforce planning and succession planning.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and organizational structures.
- Monitor employee engagement, workplace culture, and staff welfare.
- Prepare HR reports and provide management with insights on workforce matters.
- Support health, safety, and workplace policies relevant to the energy industry.
- Ensure HR practices align with the company’s operational and business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management, preferably within the energy, oil and gas, engineering, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
- Professional HR certification such as CIPM is an added advantage.
Remuneration: NGN 300,000.
