Job summary

The Human Resource & Administrative Officer will be responsible for supporting the organization’s human capital and administrative functions. The role involves recruitment, staff performance monitoring, attendance management, training coordination, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures while supporting supervisors and employees across all levels.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Human Resources Operations:

  • Provide continuous support to supervisors and employees in developing skills, performance, and professional capacity.
  • Monitor and manage staff attendance, punctuality, and performance records.
  • Investigate causes of staff absenteeism and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on disciplinary matters in line with company policies.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide advisory support during appraisal processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare relevant reports.


Recruitment & Talent Management:

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and selection processes to ensure timely, structured, and effective hiring.
  • Prepare, develop, and implement recruitment policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Support supervisors during recruitment processes and manpower planning.
  • Conduct reference and background checks for prospective candidates.


Training & Development:

  • Organize and coordinate staff training programs, workshops, and development activities.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with management to enhance workforce capability.


Administrative Support:

  • Provide HR-related information and assistance to staff and supervisors on workplace and employment matters.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and documentation using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of B.Sc. or HND in Social Sciences or any related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar HR or administrative role.
  • Professional HR certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/HR management systems.
  • Experience within engineering, construction, or technical environments is an advantage.
