Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibility:
- Implement and monitor site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental plans.
- Conduct daily site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Lead daily Toolbox Talks and safety inductions for staff and contractors.
- Enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and PPE compliance.
- Monitor high-risk construction activities (working at heights, lifting, excavation, scaffolding, etc.)
- Initiate all emergency preparedness, drills, and response procedures
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, maintaining detailed reporting.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or HND in HSE Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Professional certification: NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or ISPON Level 3.
- 2years of safety experience in large-scale construction.
- In-depth knowledge of Safety Commission regulations.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
