Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identifying workplace hazards and risks and implementing appropriate control measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Conducting risk assessments and developing Safe Systems of Work (SSW) for technical and hazardous activities.
- Overseeing permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities (electrical isolation, working at height, confined space, hot works).
- Promote a proactive safety culture through toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and visible engagement with the on-site team.
- Support emergency preparedness planning and drills (fire, evacuation, critical incident response) across the site.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience as an HSE Officer or in a similar capacity.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH and ISO are a significant advantage.
