Job Summary

The HR/Admin Assistant will support the human resources and administrative functions of IAP Building Solutions by ensuring smooth daily operations in recruitment, staff welfare, attendance management, documentation, and general office coordination. The role also involves supporting project sites administratively to enhance productivity and compliance with company policies.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:
Human Resource Functions:
  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process (advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding).
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and personal files.
  • Manage staff attendance, leave schedules, and punctuality reports across project sites.
  • Support payroll preparation by compiling attendance and overtime data.
  • Coordinate staff orientation, training, and welfare activities.
  • Monitor compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and HSE regulations.
  • Handle employee communication, notices, and disciplinary documentation.
Administrative Functions:
  • Manage office supplies, inventory, and procurement of administrative materials.
  • Organize logistics for meetings, site visits, and company events.
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, reports, and official documents.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of office facilities and working tools.
  • Serve as liaison between the head office and project sites for administrative matters.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling company and staff information.

Requirements:
  • HND/B.Sc. in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in HR and Administrative functions, preferably within construction or engineering industries.
  • Membership or student membership of CIPM or a related professional body is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of HR software or attendance tracking tools is an advantage.

Working Conditions:
  • Full-time, on-site position at IAP Building Solutions office and project sites as required.
  • May involve occasional travel to project locations.


Remuneration: NGN 150,000
