HR Manager
Job summary
The HR Manager will be responsible for establishing and overseeing all human resources functions at our Lagos operations. This includes full-cycle recruitment for sales, engineering, translation, and other key roles; employee onboarding, record-keeping, and training; enforcement of company policies etc.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring manager to define role requirements, source candidates through multiple channels, conduct screening and interviews, and oversee offer management and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records, manage attendance and leave tracking, and oversee contract management in line with the Nigerian Labour Act.
- Enforce HR policies and workplace rules.
- Monitor employee attendance, safety protocols, and workplace discipline.
- Conduct regular policy briefings and ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to company regulations.
- Deliver structured onboarding and induction programmes for new hires.
- Coordinate technical and safety training for engineers, production staff, and sales teams.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters, including grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with company values.
- Prepare and maintain HR dashboards and reports on headcount, turnover, attendance, and recruitment metrics.
- Liaise with external vendors, including background check firms and insurance providers, as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of HR management experience in Nigeria, with a proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, and policy enforcement.
- Completed NYSC – Certificate of National Service or Exemption Certificate is mandatory; candidates without completed NYSC will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, including the Labour Act, minimum wage regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English; ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) is a strong advantage.
- Middle Level Microsoft Office
- High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Experience in industrial equipment, power equipment, or manufacturing sectors.
- Prior work experience with Chinese companies or multinational organisations.
- Professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPM, PHRi, SHRM) are an added advantage.
