The human resources officer is responsible for managing the company's people-related functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and maintaining employee records. The role ensures that the company attracts, develops, and retains talented employees while fostering a productive and professional work environment.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Prepare employment offers and contracts.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Maintain recruitment records and talent databases.

Employee Records & Administration:
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave, probation periods, and contract renewals.
  • Prepare HR reports and employee-related documentation.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee information.

Performance Management:
  • Coordinate performance review processes.
  • Track employee KPIs and performance objectives.
  • Assist managers in handling performance improvement plans.
  • Support employee development and career progression initiatives.

Employee Relations:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
  • Assist in resolving workplace conflicts professionally and fairly.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and workplace culture.
  • Support disciplinary and termination processes in accordance with company policies.

Training & Development:
  • Identify training needs across departments.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and employee development plans.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Support payroll preparation and verification.
  • Administer employee benefits, allowances, and leave entitlements.
  • Maintain records relating to compensation and benefits.

Policy & Compliance:
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and company regulations.
  • Advise management on HR-related risks and best practices.
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR trends.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience 
  • A minimum of a degree in a related.


Remuneration: NGN 500,000 - 600,000 Monthly Net
