As HR Manager, you’ll be the backbone of our people operations — ensuring our planners, creatives, field staff, and project managers are hired right, paid right, and supported to perform at their best. You’ll balance the hustle of agency work with structure, compliance, and culture-building.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:

  • Lead recruitment for full-time, contract, and project-based roles.
  • Manage high-volume hiring for freelancers, brand ambassadors, and field teams.
  • Build a reliable talent pipeline for seasonal and nationwide activations.


Payroll, Compliance & HR Operations:

  • Manage payroll for staff and contractors across multiple states.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor law, PAYE, pension, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.


Field Staff Management:

  • Develop systems for onboarding, tracking, and paying large temporary teams.
  • Coordinate field staffing needs for activations happening simultaneously across states.
  • Ensure timely documentation, attendance tracking, and payment reconciliation.


Culture, Policy & Employee Experience:

  • Create HR policies that match the pace and realities of agency life.
  • Foster a culture that keeps creatives and project teams motivated during crunch periods.
  • Drive engagement, recognition, and team-building initiatives.


Employee Relations & Performance Management:

  • Handle disputes, performance issues, and client-related escalations with professionalism.
  • Support managers with coaching, feedback, and disciplinary processes.
  • Be the calm, objective voice during high-pressure moments.


HR Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track headcount, attrition, labor cost, and staff utilization.
  • Provide weekly people metrics and insights to the Managing Director.
  • Use data to improve staffing efficiency and project profitability.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a fast-paced environment (agency, media, events, or FMCG preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor law, PAYE, pension, and contractor classification.
  • Experience managing payroll for contract/temporary staff and multi-state operations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management — you’ll collaborate daily with clients, account managers, and finance.
  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI certification is compulsory.
