Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, selection, onboarding, confirmation, employee movement, and offboarding processes.
- Partner with departmental managers to identify staffing requirements and ensure appropriate workforce allocation.
- Coordinate the performance management process, including KPI setting, appraisals, performance improvement plans, and employee development.
- Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution fairly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, employment contracts, company policies, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Oversee attendance, leave administration, employee records, benefits, payroll inputs, and other HR operational processes.
- Develop and coordinate employee engagement, recognition, retention, learning, and succession-planning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, HR documentation, and human resource information systems.
- Prepare and present periodic HR reports on workforce strength, recruitment, turnover, attendance, performance, employee relations, and other key metrics.
- Advise management and line managers on people-related decisions while promoting accountability, fairness, and a positive workplace culture.
Requirements:
- HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of two years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Professional certification from CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or another recognized HR body is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, employment practices, disciplinary procedures, and statutory obligations.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, policy development, and HR reporting.
- Experience supporting technology, logistics, e-commerce, or fast-paced operational teams is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using HR information, attendance, or payroll systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare clear workforce reports and recommendations.
