Hotel Reservation Manager

The Hotel Reservation Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservations team and ensuring efficient handling of room bookings to maximize occupancy and revenue. The role involves managing reservation systems, coordinating with sales and front office teams, and delivering excellent customer service to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the reservations department
- Oversee room bookings via phone, email, online platforms, and third-party agents
- Ensure accurate input and management of reservations in the system
- Monitor room availability, occupancy levels, and pricing strategies
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to optimize revenue (yield management)
- Handle VIP bookings, special requests, and group reservations
- Resolve guest complaints or booking discrepancies professionally
- Train, coach, and evaluate reservation staff performance
- Prepare and analyze reservation reports (occupancy, forecasts, cancellations, no-shows)
- Maintain relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and online booking platforms
- Ensure compliance with company policies and service standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in hotel reservations or front office operations
- Strong knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, or similar PMS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
