Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate HSE activities across assigned project sites
- Conduct daily inspections of project sites and identify potential hazards
- Ensure the implementation of site HSE Plans and safety procedures
- Carry out risk assessments and enforce agreed preventive and corrective measures
- Monitor contractors' compliance with HSE requirements and ensure safe work practices
- Promote a positive safety culture across all assigned projects
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports
- Investigate incidents, prepare accident reports and recommend corrective actions
Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations, policies and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of an HND in Science, Engineering or Social Sciences (Minimum of Second Class Upper/Lower Division).
- 2–3 years' relevant HSE experience.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISPON, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 are an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify workplace hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
