Role Description The Health Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at Solucío Clinic in Lokoja. The person in this role supports clinicians by preparing consultation rooms, organizing patient records, and assisting with basic clinical procedures in line with allied health practices. Daily tasks include welcoming and guiding patients, taking vital signs as directed, maintaining cleanliness and order in clinical areas, and helping ensure that medical supplies are stocked and ready for use. The Health Assistant also supports clear communication between patients and healthcare providers, follows clinic protocols for safety and confidentiality, and collaborates with the wider care team to promote efficient, patient-centered services.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to interact respectfully and clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Candidates should possess Allied Health knowledge and a basic understanding of Medicine to assist with routine clinical tasks and follow professional care standards.
• Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills to manage records, maintain orderly workspaces, and support smooth clinic workflows.
• Relevant experience in a clinical or healthcare support role is beneficial, including familiarity with patient care protocols and infection prevention practices.
• A certificate, diploma, or training in a health-related field (such as community health, nursing assistant, or similar) is preferred, along with the ability to follow instructions.
