The primary objective of the Head of Sales is to lead and execute the company’s sales strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth, maximise conversion efficiency, and build long-term client relationships. The role is responsible for transforming market opportunities into consistent business results while ensuring disciplined sales execution.

Responsibilities:
Prepare Sales Plan:
- Define sales goals (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Identify target markets and ideal customer profiles (ICPs).
- Set pricing strategy and revenue targets
- Choose sales channels (inside sales, field sales, partners)
- Build forecasts and budgets
- Define KPIs (conversion rate, deal size, pipeline value)
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Identify lead sources (digital marketing, referrals, cold/warm outreach, events)
- Create outbound prospecting strategies (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
- Qualify leads using frameworks
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Align with marketing for inbound leads
Sales Process Management:
- Design a structured sales funnel (Lead → Qualified → Proposal → Close)
- Standardize sales stages and activities
- Track deal progress and bottlenecks
- Ensure consistent follow-ups and touchpoints
- Improve cycle time and win rates
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain accurate customer and lead data
- Track interactions, deals, and communication history
- Generate reports and dashboards
- Automate reminders, tasks, and follow-ups
- Ensure CRM adoption by the sales team
Negotiation & Closing:
- Understand customer needs and objections
- Present value-based solutions
- Handle pricing discussions and discounts strategically
- Negotiate terms and contracts
- Close deals efficiently while protecting margins
Revenue Generation:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets
- Upsell and cross-sell existing customers
- Improve average deal size
- Reduce churn and increase customer lifetime value (CLV)
- Monitor revenue trends and growth opportunities
Post-Sales Support:
- Smooth handover to delivery or customer success teams
- Ensure customer satisfaction after purchase
- Handle escalations and issues
- Gather feedback for product and process improvement
- Drive renewals and repeat business
Training and On-Boarding:
- Onboard new sales hires quickly
- Train on product knowledge and sales techniques
- Coach on objection handling and negotiation
- Conduct regular performance reviews
- Update team on new tools, markets, or offerings
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the role.
- A minimum of a degree in a related field.
- Good communication and negiotation skills.
