Role Description The Head of Product Management is a full-time role responsible for leading the end-to-end product strategy and execution across Union Bank’s offerings. Based in Lagos in a hybrid arrangement, the role combines on-site collaboration with flexibility for some work-from-home activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining product vision, prioritizing product roadmaps, and overseeing the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization. The Head of Product Management will collaborate closely with technology, marketing, operations, and sales teams to ensure products meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. This role also involves monitoring product performance, identifying growth opportunities, managing product budgets, and mentoring product managers to build a high-performing product management function.
Qualifications
- Strong Product Strategy and Product Management skills, including the ability to define vision, set priorities, and align stakeholders.
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management, from concept and design through launch, ongoing enhancement, and retirement.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for market analysis, customer insights, performance metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in collaborating with Sales teams to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and customer engagement.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and developing product management talent.
- Background in banking, financial services, or fintech is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant advanced degree or professional certification in product management is an advantage.
