Role Title: Head of Digital Marketing and E-Commerce.
Location: Lagos, Nigeria.
Role Summary
We are seeking a commercially driven Head of Digital Marketing & E-Commerce to lead and scale online revenue across direct-to-consumer (DTC), marketplaces, and global digital channels.
This role combines strategy and execution, with full ownership of digital growth, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability across multiple channels.
You will be responsible for building a scalable digital revenue engine across:
E-commerce website (Shopify or similar platforms)
Marketplaces (Amazon and international platforms)
Social commerce (TikTok Shop, Instagram, etc.)
CRM and retention channels (Email, SMS, WhatsApp)
Paid media and performance marketing
Data, analytics, and conversion optimization
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Growth & Revenue Ownership
- Own and drive digital revenue strategy across all online channels
- Deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets for DTC and marketplaces
- Build scalable acquisition and retention frameworks to improve LTV/CAC
- Lead expansion into new markets (local and international)
- Ensure profitability through efficient spend and margin control.
2. E-Commerce Operations and Optimization
- Own end-to-end performance of the e-commerce platform (UX, conversion, AOV, retention)
- Improve conversion through A/B testing and CRO strategies
- Oversee product merchandising, catalog accuracy, and pricing alignment
- Partner with operations on fulfillment, inventory, and stock visibility
- Develop revenue forecasting and sales modeling.
3. Performance Marketing
- Lead paid media strategy across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels
- Drive efficient acquisition campaigns with strong ROAS targets
- Implement attribution models and customer journey tracking
- Optimize CAC and campaign performance continuously
- Build structured reporting dashboards.
4. CRM, Retention & Lifecycle Marketing
- Develop CRM strategy across email, SMS, and WhatsApp
- Drive repeat purchases and subscription growth
- Build segmentation and personalized customer journeys
- Improve retention, engagement, and churn metrics.
5. Marketplace & Global Expansion
- Own marketplace performance (Amazon, TikTok Shop, etc.)
- Optimize listings, SEO, and advertising performance
- Develop and scale international/diaspora sales channels.
- Drive cross-border growth with localized strategies.
6. Brand & Digital Presence
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms
- Collaborate with creative and product teams on campaigns and launches
- Lead influencer and partnership strategies tied to revenue outcomes
- Translate brand storytelling into measurable performance.
7. Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Own performance tracking across key metrics:
- Traffic
- Conversion rate
- AOV
- CAC
- ROAS
- Retention
- Build attribution models across channels
- Provide clear insights and recommendations to leadership
- Use data to guide pricing, promotions, and product focus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related field
- 4–8 years’ experience in digital marketing and e-commerce
- Proven experience in FMCG, beauty, wellness, or consumer brands.
- Strong track record managing and scaling digital revenue channels
- Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar platforms
- Strong expertise in paid media and performance marketing
Preferred Background
- Experience with international marketplace expansion
- Exposure to cross-border e-commerce
- Experience building CRM-led growth strategies
- Background in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
