Job summary
The head of audit is responsible for independently reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating the company’s financial records, inventory systems, operational processes, and internal controls across all branches to ensure compliance, accuracy, transparency, and risk reduction.

Responsibilities:
- Design, lead, and execute the company’s internal audit strategy across all branches and warehouses
- Conduct risk-based audits covering cash handling, sales, inventory movement, expiries, procurement, and stock transfers
- Enforce internal control standards and recommend corrective actions to management
- Independently investigate financial irregularities, stock losses, and suspected fraud
- Review branch performance data to identify systemic control failures and operational risks
- Issue formal audit reports with clear findings, accountability, and timelines for resolution
- Track, enforce, and validate implementation of audit recommendations
- Provide management with advisory support on control improvements and risk mitigation
- Support HR and management during disciplinary actions and internal investigations
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, finance, or related discipline
- Minimum of 10–12 years internal audit experience, preferably in retail or FMCG
- Strong understanding of multi-branch retail operations and inventory systems
- Proven experience in fraud detection and loss prevention
- High level of independence, integrity, and professional judgment
- Willingness to travel frequently
