Job Summary
Our client in the educational sector is looking to hire a Head of Academics & School Experience to be responsible for the internal organization, management and execution of the school’s academic vision, goals/attainment for the pupils throughout the school. In carrying out his/her duties, a Head of Academics and School Experience (ASE pronounced ACE) shall consult with the School Director, the Head of the school, The Teaching Staff and the Parents of its pupils.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- To make the School the preferred and leading nursery and primary school in the Lekki area by providing the leadership and management of academic learning and experiences which gives every pupil high quality education and which promotes the highest possible standards of achievement, experience and well being.
- To make the ethos, values, culture and content at School the most desirable for 21st century parents.
- Formulating the overall academic and developmental aims and objectives of the school and implementing, driving and monitoring the policies and processes that establish them and lead to results of excellent attainment for all pupils.
- Provide overall strategic leadership and, with others, lead, develop and support the strategic direction, vision, values and priorities of the school
- Developing and Executing the Marketing Strategies for Numerical Growth and Expansion Termly.
- Excellent Delivery and Execution of Termly Whole School Calendars & Events
- Appointment and Recruitment of staff, Participating in the selection and appointment of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.
- Ensuring that teachers at the school receive information they need in order to carry out their professional duties efficiently and effectively.
- Deployment and ensures administration of Systems, Structures, Processes and Policies to ensure proper organizational efficiency
- Deployment of professional development plans and training for all staff and a performance management appraisal system.
- Determining, organizing and implementing an appropriate curriculum for the school, having regard to the needs, experience, interests, aptitudes and stage of development of the pupils and the resources available to the school. Ensures the integration of technology into academics and administration.
- Supervising and participating in arrangements made in accordance with regulations for the appraisal (carried out twice per School year) of the performance of teachers in the school.
- Ensuring that the progress of pupils of the school is monitored, recorded and tracked.
- Ensuring the maintenance of good order and discipline at all times during the school day (including the midday break) when pupils are present on the school premises.
- Making arrangements for parents to be given regular information about the school curriculum, the progress of their children, the health, care and safety of their children and other matters affecting the school, so as to promote common understanding of its aims.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree /HND degree in a related field.
- Extensive experience in teaching and educational administration.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional practices.
- Leadership and management experience in an academic setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in community engagement or school administration.
- Knowledge of student support services and best practices in student well-being.
- Proficiency in educational technology and data analysis tools
