Hair Stylist

Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to understand their hair needs, preferences, and desired styles.
• Wash, condition, dry, cut, trim, and style hair according to clients' requests.
• Create various hairstyles, including braids, twists, weaves, wigs, and other styles based on expertise.
• Apply hair treatments, relaxers, hair colours, and other hair care products where qualified.
• Install, style, maintain, and remove wigs, extensions, and other hairpieces as required.
• Recommend suitable hair care products and treatments based on clients' hair types and conditions.
• Keep up with current hairstyling trends, techniques, and beauty industry developments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitisation of styling tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Manage appointments and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor hair care product supplies and report low stock levels.
• Follow salon policies, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE or relevant hairdressing training or certification.
• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Hairdresser.
• Proficiency in different hairstyling techniques and hair care treatments.
• Good knowledge of hair products, tools, and styling equipment.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a good sense of style.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good personal grooming and professional conduct.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and keep up with current trends.
