Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Install and create starter locs using various loc techniques
- Perform loc maintenance services, including retwisting, interlocking, and palm rolling
- Wash, treat, moisturize, and maintain healthy locs for clients
- Style locs for everyday wear, special occasions, and events
- Assess hair and scalp conditions and recommend appropriate treatments
- Educate clients on proper loc care and maintenance practices
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment
- Keep up with current trends, techniques, and products in loc care and styling
- Manage client appointments and maintain customer records when necessary
- Ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE qualification
- Professional training or certification in hair care, beauty, or loc services is an advantage
- Proven experience as a Loctician, Hair Stylist, or Hair Care Specialist
- Strong knowledge of loc installation, maintenance, and styling techniques
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
