Gym Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the gym.
• Lead, supervise, and hold coaches and gym staff accountable to performance standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service and overall member satisfaction.
• Monitor membership growth, retention, renewals, and member feedback.
• Handle and resolve member complaints professionally.
• Ensure gym equipment, facilities, cleanliness, and safety standards are properly maintained.
• Manage staff schedules, attendance, punctuality, and daily responsibilities.
• Monitor operational expenses and support achievement of revenue and profitability goals.
• Work with the marketing team on promotions, events, community outreach, and membership growth initiatives.
• Build relationships with local businesses and potential corporate wellness partners.
• Maintain accurate operational reports and provide regular updates to leadership.
• Identify operational problems and take initiative to resolve them.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in gym management, fitness operations, hospitality, retail, or a similar customer-facing management role.
• Proven experience managing and motivating a team.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of sales, membership retention, and business operations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Organized, accountable, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable using basic technology, reporting tools, and business systems.
• Genuine interest in fitness, wellness, and creating an excellent member experience.
