Group Executive Director
Job summary
The Group Executive Director will lead the Group's commercial positioning, corporate reputation, brand strategy, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise-wide communications across its steel manufacturing subsidiaries. The role is responsible for aligning corporate communications and business growth, market expansion, investor confidence, government relations, ESG initiatives, and strategic partnerships, positioning the Group as a leading industrial brand in West Africa.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Group's commercial communication, brand positioning, and corporate communication strategy to support revenue growth, market expansion, B2B sales, infrastructure projects, and customer confidence across all subsidiaries.
- Lead the development of a unified corporate identity, ensuring consistent messaging across media, public relations, investor communications, internal communications, sustainability initiatives, manufacturing innovation, and corporate storytelling.
- Manage strategic engagement with Federal and State Governments, regulatory agencies, industry associations, investors, development partners, and key stakeholders while driving policy advocacy, regulatory communications, and government relations.
- Build investor confidence by leading communication for capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and reputation management.
- Develop and implement crisis communication strategies, managing reputational risks arising from operational disruptions, environmental issues, labour relations, regulatory matters, and industrial incidents while serving as principal communications adviser to the Group CEO.
- Lead national and international media relations, public affairs, corporate events, industrial engagements, and thought leadership initiatives that strengthen the Group's influence within the manufacturing and steel sectors.
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing commercial communication, branding, corporate affairs, and stakeholder engagement teams while driving capability development across the Group.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or a Master's Degree in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum 12–20 years of professional experience, including 7–10 years in executive leadership roles.
- Proven experience in Manufacturing, Steel, Heavy Industry, Oil & Gas, FMCG, or Conglomerates, with strong expertise in corporate communications, commercial strategy, government relations, public affairs, brand leadership, investor relations, crisis communications, and enterprise stakeholder management.
