Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct or assist in audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
  • Account Reconciliation: Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash flow, manage bank accounts, and perform treasury functions to ensure that financial obligations are met.
  • System Improvements: Implement or suggest improvements to financial systems, processes, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Liaison with Stakeholders: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including management, auditors, vendors, and clients to provide financial information and support.


Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA - Certified Public Accountant) can be advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP), Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in handling numbers and financial details to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for explaining financial information to non-financial individual
  • Ethical Judgment: Accountants must adhere to a high standard of ethics and integrity, handling confidential information responsibly
