Job Summary

The company presents this job description as a guide to the major areas and duties for which the jobholder is accountable. However, the business operates in an environment that demands change, and the jobholder’s specific responsibilities and activities will vary and develop. We are expanding our service offerings into academia and are seeking an experienced GRE & SAT Verbal Question Creator to design original, high-quality questions across all GRE verbal question types: Reading Comprehension, Text Completion, and Sentence Equivalence. The successful candidate will also develop original, on-brand passages and questions in alignment with the digital SAT’s updated format. This is a contract, remote position for professionals with strong verbal skills, exceptional attention to detail, and familiarity with GRE standards.

  • Experience Length : 4 years

  • Produce questions that test writing conventions such as: Standard English grammar, Sentence boundaries and punctuation, Parallel structure and modifier placement, Pronoun and verb agreement, Conciseness and clarity and Logical transitions
  • Create data-driven reading questions involving charts, graphs, tables, or scientific summaries.
  • Provide accurate answer keys with clear, concise explanations for correct and incorrect options.
  • Ensure alignment with the digital SAT’s: Short passage format, Single-question format, Cognitive demand, Neutral, and academic tone

  • Strong reading, editing, and verbal reasoning skills.
  • Ability to write short, academically-neutral passages across multiple subject domains.
  • High attention to detail and reliability on deadlines.
  • Ability to create explanations that teach reasoning, not just reveal answers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep familiarity with digital SAT Reading & Writing question types and structure.
  • Experience writing standardised test content, tutoring SAT, or working in educational publishing.

Work Environment:

  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
  • Asynchronous collaboration with content leads.
