Functions

1. Content Creation and Storytelling

a. Develop and edit visual and digital content for social media, blogs, newsletters and multimedia presentations that align with our brand voice and strategy.

b. Produce destination features, travel guides and promotional narratives aligned with brand tone.

c. Capture photos and videos that showcase destinations, experiences and Afari’s services.

d. Edit and refine content to ensure clarity, relevance and audience appeal.

e. Support Social Media Manager in developing contents in line with the Social Media Content Calendar.

f. Ensure media materials are delivered at latest a week before scheduled date.


2. Media Production & Design Management

a. Design graphics, banners, ads and marketing visuals for digital and print use.

b. Create and edit video content, including reels, testimonials, trip highlights and promotional clips.

c. Maintain brand consistency across all creative outputs and platforms.

d. Manage media assets, including footage, graphics, templates and project files.


3. Digital Strategy Support and Platform Optimization

a. Manage scheduled posting across Google My Business, LinkedIn, WhatsApp channel and ensure timely content delivery.

b. Conduct basic analytics reviews to measure engagement and refine content strategy.

c. Collaborate with marketing, social media and travel operations teams to align content with active campaigns, tours and product launches.


Deliverables

a. Generate high-quality written and visual content aligned with the brand mission.

b. Support the Social Media Content Calendar with timely posts and campaign assets.

c. Produce graphics for digital and print across trips, promotions, and brand communications.

d. Create and edit short-form videos that improve reach, engagement, and trust.

e. Maintain a structured media library for easy access and reuse.

f. Provide basic insights from content performance to guide improvements.

g. Collaborate across marketing, social media, and operations to ensure accurate and conversion-focused storytelling.


Requirements

  1. Education: HND or higher in any field of study.
  2. Experience: 2-4 years of proven Graphics design experience, preferably in travel, tourism, or hospitality.
  3. Skills: a. Strong proficiency in photo and video editing tools (Adobe Suite, Canva or equivalents). b. Skilled in copywriting, storytelling and creative direction. c. Experience creating content for travel, lifestyle or hospitality brands is an advantage. d. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and adapt to brand guidelines. e. Good understanding of social media algorithms and content trends. f. Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility and attention to detail in design. g. Ability to interpret project briefs and translate concepts into polished visual outcomes quickly and efficiently.
  4. Additional Attributes: a. Ability to produce high quality vector graphics, typography and layout compositions. b. Knowledge of branding systems, colour theory and visual hierarchy. c. Experience designing for both digital environments and print production.


Monthly Milestone Bonus

The following milestones are mandatory and consistent with our operating policies.

  1. Build 5 templates for routine media designs. a
  2. Execute 40 approved designs or publications. b
  3. Support the Social Media Manager to achieve his/her monthly target with your contribution. c
  4. Develop 5 explainer or promotional videos (10 - 30 seconds). d
