Government Liaison Officer
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Government Liaison Officer to manage relationships with federal and state agencies, monitor regulatory developments, and represent the organization in policy and advocacy matters.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main liaison with government agencies and regulators (CBN, SEC, NDIC, NITDA, NIBSS, etc.)
- Monitor policies, legislation, and regulations impacting the fintech/financial sector
- Represent the organization at government meetings, hearings, and industry events
- Coordinate regulatory filings, license renewals, and ensure compliance
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government officials and policymakers
- Draft correspondence, reports, and position papers for internal and external stakeholders
- Support crisis management and regulatory engagement as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
- 3+ years in government affairs, regulatory, legal, or policy roles—preferably in fintech, banking, or telecoms
- Deep understanding of Nigeria’s regulatory environment and strong government network
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- High integrity and political acumen
