Generator Technician
Job summary
We need a Generator Technician proficient in repairing, servicing, and maintaining diesel-powered generators from Mikano, FG Wilson, Perkins, and Cummins. Your work is to ensure generators work well, don't break down, and customers are happy. You go to sites, diagnose problems, fix them, and do routine maintenance.

Responsibilities:
- Find faults and repair diesel generators when they break down. Engine, alternator, control panel, wiring.
- Change engine oil, filters, and coolant. Check battery, belts, and do general service as scheduled.
- Help install new generators at the customer site. Connect cables, test, and commission.
- Use tools and testers to check why the generator no dey start or dey trip.
- Go to the customer's office, house, or company to do repairs and maintenance.
- Write a simple report after every job
- Tell the customer how to use the generator well so e no spoil fast.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience working on diesel generators like Mikano/FG Wilson.
- You must understand diesel engines, alternators, ATS panels, and basic electrical wiring.
- You can use a multimeter, spanners, a socket set, and other technician tools.
- Minimum of an OND, Trade Test, or Apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- A certificate is good, but experience is important.
- You can read generator manuals and wiring diagrams
- You are ready to travel for fieldwork
- You have problem-solving skills
- You are honest and have a good customer attitude
- You can drive with a valid driver’s license is compulsory
