About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant General Surgeon to join a leading private tertiary healthcare institution in Lagos.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality surgical care, managing complex cases, and contributing to multidisciplinary clinical excellence within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures with a high level of competence
• Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anaesthesia, ICU, and other specialists
• Ensure adherence to clinical standards, protocols, and patient safety guidelines
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency surgical care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuous professional development
  

Requirements

• Fellowship qualification (FWACS, FMCS, or internationally recognized equivalent)
• Full and active registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
• Minimum of 3–5 years post-fellowship experience as a practicing General Surgeon
• Proven experience handling a broad range of general surgical cases
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  

Work Structure

• Full-time, on-site role based in Lekki, Lagos
• Standard working hours with on-call responsibilities
