Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abuja for the General Manager, News and Programmes. The General Manager will lead and oversee the creation and execution of compelling news content and program strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's mission. Responsibilities include content planning, newsroom management, supervising program production, developing innovative content initiatives, and maintaining editorial standards. Collaboration with internal teams, establishing partnerships, and staying ahead of industry trends is key to this position.
Qualifications

• Must reside in Abuja
• Minimum of 5 years pf experience
• Management and Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage newsroom operations, and oversee program production effectively.
• Content Development: Expertise in news writing, editing, content curation, and developing high-quality programs.
• Strategic Planning: Skills in content strategy, market analysis, and planning to align content with organizational goals.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to manage stakeholders, build networks, and communicate strategically with diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with Media Landscape: In-depth understanding of the media industry, audience trends, and emerging technologies.
• Educational Background: A degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Additional Expertise: Experience in the real estate or housing industry, along with proficiency in digital media platforms, will be considered an added advantage.
