Job summary
We are seeking a highly driven, strategic, and execution-focused General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and growth of the Filly Tutor Platform. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing platform performance, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving user acquisition and retention, and optimizing operations

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to grow the Filly Tutor platform
- Translate company vision into clear operational plans, KPIs, and execution roadmaps
- Identify new growth opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
Operations & Platform Management
- Oversee daily operations of the Filly Tutor platform, ensuring smooth functionality and service delivery
- Coordinate activities across product, engineering, marketing, support, and operations teams
- Ensure tutors, students, and institutions have a seamless onboarding and usage experience
- Establish and optimize workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage budgets, operational expenses, and resource allocation
- Track platform performance using data and analytics (user growth, engagement, revenue, retention)
- Prepare performance reports and insights for leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure cost efficiency while supporting scalable growth
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and manage internal teams and external collaborators
- Set clear expectations, goals, and accountability structures
- Foster a results-oriented, collaborative, and high-performance culture
- Work closely with founders and senior leadership to align execution with vision
Marketing, Sales & Partnerships
- Collaborate with marketing teams to drive student and tutor acquisition
- Support institutional partnerships (schools, training centers, organizations)
- Improve conversion funnels, pricing strategies, and engagement models
- Represent Filly Tutor in strategic meetings, demos, and partnerships
Quality, Compliance & User Experience
- Ensure platform quality, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Handle escalations, user feedback, and service improvements
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, data protection standards, and best practices
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Technology, Education, or a related field
- Proven experience in a managerial, operations, or general management role (preferably in tech, SaaS, EdTech, or marketplaces)
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, online marketplaces, or tutoring/education ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, budgets, and cross-functional projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience working with startups or fast-growing technology platforms (Preferred)
- Familiarity with EdTech, tutoring platforms, or online learning ecosystems (Preferred)
- Experience working with product and engineering teams (Preferred)
- Knowledge of user acquisition, growth metrics, and platform analytics (Preferred)
